# 4G dashcam data usage

Recording to the memory card uses no mobile data. Data is used by GPS tracking, live view and uploaded event clips.

- GPS tracking: each position report is about 200 bytes. Reporting every 30 seconds around the clock uses about 17 MB a month.
- Live view on the sub-stream: about 40 to 60 MB per camera per hour (11 to 17 KB per second, measured on two carriers).
- Event clips upload at the recording bitrate: a 15-second 720p clip is about 5.6 MB, a 1080p clip about 7.5 MB.
