The A18 is a 4G dashcam for cars, vans and taxis on 12 V. The front camera records 1080p at 25 fps through a 135° four-glass lens. A second USB camera records 480p at 15 fps for the rear; a rotating infrared cabin camera can be ordered in its place. A 2-inch screen (320 × 240) shows the picture and the menus, and video is stored in H.264.

## What the A18 does

- **Tracks and streams.** Built-in GPS and BeiDou track the vehicle, and 4G lets managers view the camera and download clips in the Traqcare app or web platform.
- **Carries voice.** Dispatch can talk to the driver through the built-in speaker and noise-reducing microphone.
- **Watches while parked.** Parking monitoring captures video and still images from both cameras and sends an alert if a collision is detected. The camera draws on the vehicle battery to do this, so hardwire it with a low-voltage cutoff.

## Installation

- Mount behind the rear-view mirror and run the second camera's cable along the headlining. The unit measures 87 × 71 × 33 mm.
- Fit a 4G data SIM and a microSD card of up to 128 GB.
- The modem covers 4G bands B1 and B3 and 3G band B1 only. Check that your carrier uses them before ordering.
- Firmware is updated from the card or over the air.

A 128 GB card holds about 66 hours of 1080p video from the front camera at the standard 4 Mbps, and about 44 hours if the second camera adds 2 Mbps. Loop recording then overwrites the oldest file.
