The A5 records ahead of and behind the vehicle at the same time: the front camera in 2K (2560 × 1440) at 25 fps with a 140° view, the rear camera in 720p at 25 fps with a 130° view. A 3-inch IPS screen (640 × 360) shows the picture and the menus. Video is stored in H.264 on a microSD card of up to 512 GB.

## What the A5 does

- **Covers front and rear.** The rear camera records rear-end collisions and reversing incidents that a road-only camera misses.
- **Tracks the vehicle.** GPS and BeiDou positions are stored with the video, and routes can be played back in the Traqcare app and web platform.
- **Carries voice.** The built-in microphone and speaker let a dispatcher talk to the driver over 4G.
- **Watches while parked.** With the ignition off, 24-hour parking monitoring records when it detects an impact or another abnormal event, and the 3-axis G-sensor locks the clip. Hardwire the camera with a low-voltage cutoff for this.
- **Shows its own picture.** The screen and seven keys let an installer check both views and the settings without a phone.

## Installation

- Power is 5 V through the Type-C port. The supplied cable takes 12–24 V from the vehicle, and an ACC line switches the camera with the ignition.
- Mount the front unit behind the rear-view mirror and run the rear camera cable along the headlining.
- Connect the external GPS antenna, then fit a 4G data SIM and a microSD card of Class 10 or faster.
- The modem is LTE Cat 1, about 10 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up, on FDD B1/3/5/8 and TDD B38/39/40/41. Check that your carrier uses these bands.
- Pair the device in the Traqcare app. Firmware is updated from the card or over the air.

### Does the A5 record front and rear at the same time?

Yes. The front camera records 2K (2560 × 1440) at 25 fps and the rear camera records 720p at 25 fps, simultaneously.

### How many hours of video does the A5 keep?

About 110 hours on a 512 GB card with both cameras recording, at the standard 7 Mbps for 2K plus 3 Mbps for 720p, and about 26 hours on a 128 GB card. Loop recording then overwrites the oldest file.

### Does the A5 have ADAS or driver monitoring?
