## Highlights

- **Road and cabin in one unit**: Two built-in 1080p lenses record the road and, with infrared, the driver at the same time.
- **ADAS and DMS**: Collision, lane, pedestrian and following-distance warnings plus yawning, closed-eye, distraction and smoking alerts, above 30 km/h.
- **Expandable to four cameras**: Add up to two external 720p cameras for the rear or sides.
- **About 130 hours on 512 GB**: Both 1080p lenses at the standard 4 Mbps each. H.265 roughly doubles that.

The D9 puts a road lens, an infrared cabin lens, an AI processor, GPS and a 4G modem in one windscreen unit. Both built-in lenses record 1080p, and two external 720p cameras can be connected for the rear or the sides, so one device records two, three or four channels. One rear camera, on a 5-metre cable, is in the box. A supercapacitor closes the last file safely if power is cut.

## What the D9 does

- **Records both sides of the windscreen.** Road and cabin video are stored together with GPS position and time, so a claim can be checked against what happened outside and inside the cab.
- **Warns the driver.** ADAS covers forward collision, lane departure, pedestrians, following distance and the vehicle ahead moving off. DMS detects yawning, closed eyes, distraction, smoking and a blocked camera. Each alert sounds in the cab and is logged. Alerts are active above 30 km/h.
- **Keeps dispatch in contact.** Two-way voice uses the built-in speaker and microphone, and the SOS input sends an emergency alert to the platform.
- **Streams over 4G.** Managers watch live video, download clips and follow the vehicle in the Traqcare app or web platform. The main stream and the sub-stream can each be set to 1080p, 720p, D1 or CIF remotely, which controls data use. On constant power the D9 can also be viewed with the ignition off.
- **Reports to other platforms.** JT/T 808 (2013 and 2019 editions), JT/T 905 and JT/T 1078 are supported, and the D9 can report to two platforms at the same time.

## Installation

- 9–36 V input: the same unit fits 12 V vans and 24 V trucks.
- Mount behind the rear-view mirror, road lens forward and cabin lens towards the driver, then connect any external cameras.
- Calibrate ADAS and DMS in the app after mounting. Calibration progresses only while driving above 20 km/h, so finish it on a road test.
- Fit a micro SIM and a microSD card of Class 10 or faster. The 4G modem ships in three regional band versions, listed in the specifications, so tell us the country of use.
- An RS232 port and an I/O output connect a serial accessory or a relay for remote fuel or power cut-off. Say so when ordering if you need them.

The D9 covers the road and the driver without the cabling of an MDVR. For four 1080p inputs on dual SD cards, see the [WD12 MDVR](/product/wd12-mini-dual-sd-card-mobile-dvr/).

## FAQ

### What do the D9's two lenses record?

The front lens records the road in 1080p with a 135° view. The second lens faces the cabin, records 1080p with a 110° view and has infrared night vision for driver monitoring.

### Can I add more cameras to the D9?

Yes. The D9 accepts up to two external 720p cameras, for example a rear camera and a side camera, for three or four channels in total.

### How many hours of video does the D9 keep?

With both 1080p lenses recording at the standard 4 Mbps each, a 512 GB card holds about 130 hours before the oldest footage is overwritten, and about 76 hours with two external 720p cameras added. Recording in H.265 roughly doubles both figures.

### Which countries does the D9's 4G modem cover?

The D9 has a Cat 4 modem and ships in three band versions: Europe and Asia (FDD B1/3/5/7/8/20/28, TDD B38/40/41), Latin America and Australia (FDD B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/28, TDD B40) and North America (FDD B2/4/5/12/13/14/66/71). Tell us the country and carrier and we supply the matching version.
