## Highlights

- **Camera, recorder and 4G in one**: Records one 1080p channel to its own card and reports over 4G, with no separate recorder.
- **IP67, -30 °C to +70 °C**: A sealed housing of 87 × 82.5 × 81 mm, bracket included, for mounting outside the cab.
- **DMS or BSD**: Ordered with one optional algorithm: driver monitoring or blind-spot detection.
- **About 260 hours on 512 GB**: One 1080p channel at the standard 4 Mbps; H.265 roughly doubles that.

The S202 is one camera, one recorder and one 4G modem in a sealed housing of 87 × 82.5 × 81 mm, bracket included. It records a single 1080p channel at up to 30 fps in H.264 or H.265 to its own microSD card and reports over 4G, so it needs no separate recorder. The housing is rated IP67 and works from -30 °C to +70 °C.

## What the S202 does

- **Works as a driver camera or a blind-spot camera.** It is ordered with one optional algorithm. DMS detects fatigue, smoking, a blocked camera and unsafe driving behaviour. BSD detects pedestrians and vehicles in the blind zone.
- **Sees in the dark.** Night vision is infrared or white light, chosen when you order, with an IR-cut filter for daytime colour.
- **Streams and talks over 4G.** Live video, playback and two-way voice run over the Cat 1 modem to the Traqcare app and web platform. There is no Wi-Fi.
- **Reports to other platforms.** JT/T 808, in its 2013 and 2019 editions, JT/T 1076 and JT/T 1078 are supported.
- **Connects a switch and a relay.** The functional edition has one alarm input, one output for a fuel or power cut-off relay and an RS232 port. The basic edition has none of these.

## Installation

- 9–36 V input with overload, under-voltage, short-circuit and reverse-polarity protection. Power draw is under 5 W.
- The GPS and 4G antennas screw on to the back of the housing.
- Fit a SIM and a microSD card of Class 10 or faster, up to 512 GB. One 1080p channel at the standard 4 Mbps keeps about 260 hours on 512 GB.
- Eight quality levels set the bitrate between 1 and 12 Mbps.
- Firmware is updated remotely over FTP.

## FAQ

### Does the S202 need an MDVR?

No. The S202 records to its own microSD card and has its own 4G modem, so it works on its own. An MDVR is for vehicles that need four or eight cameras on one recorder.

### Can one S202 run DMS and BSD together?

No. It is ordered with one optional algorithm: DMS for a camera that faces the driver, or BSD for one mounted on the side of the vehicle.

### What is the S202's ingress rating?

IP67: the housing is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in water. The S202 operates from -30 °C to +70 °C.

### How many hours of video does the S202 keep?

About 260 hours on a 512 GB card at the standard 4 Mbps for 1080p, and roughly twice that in H.265. Loop recording then overwrites the oldest footage.
