The WD12 fits four-camera recording, AI safety and 4G into an aluminium housing of 120 × 120 × 46 mm and 450 g. For comparison, the WD10 measures 161 × 159 × 63 mm and weighs 1.1 kg. The WD12 runs Linux, records four 1080p inputs in H.264 or H.265, and stores footage on two SD cards, up to 512 GB.

## What the WD12 does

- **Records four views.** Four 1080p cameras use about 7.2 GB an hour at standard quality, so 512 GB holds roughly 66 hours, and about twice that in H.265. Eight quality levels trade detail against retention.
- **Runs AI safety.** ADAS gives forward-collision and lane-departure warnings. DMS detects fatigue, distraction and smoking. BSD is an option, and the WD12-B version adds a 360° view.
- **Reports to other platforms.** JT/T 808 in its 2011 and 2019 editions, JT/T 1076, JT/T 1078 and GB/T 28181 are supported, with JT/T 905 for taxis, so the WD12 can report to a third-party platform as well as to Traqcare.
- **Protects recordings.** The SD and SIM cards sit behind a lock, and files on the card are encrypted, so they cannot be played if the card is removed. User and administrator passwords control access.
- **Watches the vehicle battery.** The recorder monitors the supply voltage and raises an alert when it falls below the level you set.

## Installation

- 9–36 V input with overload, under-voltage, short-circuit and reverse-polarity protection. Outputs of 12 V and 5 V at 1 A power the cameras.
- Four switch inputs, one emergency input and one switch output are provided, with RS232 and RS485 serial ports.
- A CVBS output drives an in-cab monitor. VGA output is available on request.
- Mount the recorder in a ventilated, protected place. We recommend professional installation.

## FAQ

### How long does the WD12 keep footage?

Four 1080p cameras at standard quality use about 7.2 GB an hour, so 512 GB of SD storage holds roughly 66 hours before the oldest footage is overwritten. H.265 roughly doubles that.

### Can the WD12 connect to a third-party platform?

Yes, if the platform uses JT/T 808 (2011 or 2019 edition) with JT/T 1078 for video, or GB/T 28181. The WD12 also works with the Traqcare app and web platform.

### Which AI functions does the WD12 have?

ADAS (forward-collision and lane-departure warnings) and DMS (fatigue, distraction and smoking). BSD is an option, and the WD12-B version adds a 360° view.

### What power does the WD12 need?

9–36 V vehicle power. It draws under 12 W, has overload, under-voltage, short-circuit and reverse-polarity protection, and raises an alert when the vehicle battery voltage falls below the level you set.
