What is Dashcam For Cars (D4C)?

Dashcam For Cars (D4C) is the fleet dashcam and MDVR brand of SKYWONDER Technology Co., Ltd., founded in 2011 in Guangdong, China, and working under an ISO 9001 quality system. D4C's 4G dashcams and MDVRs report to the Traqcare fleet platform.

Why does a fleet vehicle need a dashcam?

A fleet dashcam records the road, and on dual-lens models the cabin, with GPS position and time on each clip. That gives evidence for accidents, insurance claims and disputes. 4G models add live view, AI safety alerts and clips that upload themselves, so a manager sees an incident without waiting for the vehicle to return.

What types of cameras do you offer?

Ten [dashcams](/product-category/dashcam/): nine with 4G and GPS, and one Wi-Fi model. Three [MDVRs](/product-category/mdvr/) that record four or eight cameras. Five [cameras for MDVR systems](/product-category/accessories/): an ADAS camera, two DSM cameras, a BSD camera and an infrared dome camera.

What is an MDVR, and how is it different from a dashcam?

An MDVR (mobile digital video recorder) is a recorder mounted out of sight that records four or eight external cameras at the same time, to SD cards or a hard disk, and with 4G streams video to a platform. A dashcam is a single windscreen unit with one or two built-in lenses, and on some models a rear camera on a cable. MDVRs suit buses, trucks and heavy vehicles.

How do I choose the right model?

Tell us your vehicle types, the views you need (road, cabin, rear, sides, doors), whether you need live remote access and which AI alerts matter. We recommend a model and can send samples for testing. Our guide to [how many cameras a vehicle needs](/how-many-cameras-does-a-truck-bus-or-van-need/) covers the first step.

How much video can a dashcam store?

A 64 GB card holds about 33 hours of 1080p video from one camera, or about 8 hours from four, at the standard bitrate of D4C recorders (4 Mbps per camera, H.264). Loop recording then overwrites the oldest files, so the camera never stops recording. The [storage calculator](/dashcam-storage-calculator/) gives the figure for other setups.

What happens when the memory card is full?

Loop recording automatically overwrites the oldest footage. On models with a G-sensor event lock, clips recorded during an impact are protected from being overwritten.

Which memory card should I use?

Use a high-endurance microSD card of Class 10 (U1) or faster, within the model's limit: 128 GB on the A18, D3 and B5, and 512 GB on the D9, D2, A5, A3, A6 and S202. Format it in the camera before first use.

Does a dashcam record when the vehicle is parked?

Some models do. The A5, A3, A6 and A18 have parking monitoring, which records when an impact or another abnormal event is detected, and the B5 can record time-lapse with a hardwire kit. Parked recording draws on the vehicle battery, so hardwire the camera with a low-voltage cutoff. See our guide on [dashcams and battery drain](/does-dash-cam-drain-battery-myths-vs-facts/).

Can I view footage remotely?

Yes, with a 4G model. You can watch live video, play back and download clips and track vehicles in the Traqcare app or web platform. The Wi-Fi-only B5 transfers footage to a phone at the vehicle.

Do your dashcams and MDVRs have GPS?

Every 4G dashcam has GPS, and most add BeiDou, so clips carry a position and routes can be replayed. The Wi-Fi-only B5 has no GPS. The WD12 recorder uses an external GPS and BeiDou module, and GPS is an optional module on the WD10 and WD11.

Is software included, and which phones are supported?

Yes. 4G dashcams and MDVRs work with the Traqcare app and web platform for live view, playback, tracking and alerts. The app requires iOS 12 or later, or Android 8 or later. The Wi-Fi-only B5 uses its own phone app over Wi-Fi.

Can I install a dashcam myself?

Yes. A dashcam needs a mount, power and a microSD card; a 4G model also needs a SIM and pairing in the app, and the D9 needs ADAS and DMS calibration. Hardwiring is needed for parked recording. For MDVRs we recommend professional installation, because they need a cable to every camera and ignition wiring. We supply installation guidance and remote support.

What accessories can you supply?

Our catalogue includes ADAS, DSM and BSD cameras and an infrared dome camera for MDVR systems. We can also supply hardwire kits, GPS antennas, rear cameras, extension cables and SD cards; ask when you request a quote.

What warranty do you provide?

D4C hardware carries a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, and it can be extended: ask when you order. Software issues are supported for 90 days from delivery, and firmware updates continue after that.

How do I order, and can I get samples?

Request a quote through our [contact form](/contact-us/) or message us on WhatsApp with the models and quantities you need. Prices are quoted per model and volume, and samples are available for testing before a larger order.
