The A6 is a compact, screenless 4G dashcam that records the road in 2K at 25 fps and the rear in 1080p. It has GPS and BeiDou, a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi hotspot, a Cat 1 modem, parking monitoring with collision lock and takes microSD cards up to 512 GB. With the ignition off it sleeps at 3 mA or less.

The A6 is a screenless 4G dashcam of 72 × 65 × 69 mm. The front camera records 2K at 25 fps, and a rear AHD camera on a cable records 1080p. Video is stored in H.264, with sound, on a microSD card of up to 512 GB.

What the A6 does

Records front and rear. Both cameras record together, and a snapshot button on the unit saves a still.
Tracks and streams. GPS and BeiDou positions are stored with the video, and routes can be played back. Over 4G, live video and clips are available in the Traqcare app and web platform. The 2.4 GHz hotspot transfers files to a phone at the vehicle.
Watches while parked. After the ignition is switched off, the 3-axis G-sensor keeps watch, and a detected collision locks the clip so that it is not overwritten.
Sleeps at 3 mA. With the ignition off, the A6 goes into deep sleep and draws 3 mA or less, which is about 0.07 Ah a day.
Keeps about 96 hours. With both cameras recording at the standard 7 Mbps and 4 Mbps, a 512 GB card holds about 96 hours before the oldest file is overwritten.
Updates remotely. Firmware is updated from the card or over the air.

Installation

12 V supply, with a 12–24 V input range and an ACC line that follows the ignition.
Fix the unit behind the rear-view mirror and run the rear camera cable to the back of the vehicle.
Fit a 4G data SIM and a microSD card. The Cat 1 modem covers FDD B1/3/5/8 and TDD B38/39/40/41; check that your carrier uses these bands.
The microphone and the 1.5 W speaker are external and plug into the unit.
Three LEDs show the working, network and GPS status.

How many hours of video does the A6 keep?

About 96 hours on a 512 GB card with both cameras recording, at the standard 7 Mbps for 2K plus 4 Mbps for 1080p. Loop recording then overwrites the oldest file.

Does the A6 have a screen?

No. The A6 is set up and viewed in the app, over its Wi-Fi hotspot or over 4G. For a dashcam with a 3-inch screen, choose the [A5](/product/a5-dual-lens-dashcam/) or the A3.

Does the A6 drain the battery when parked?

With the ignition off, the A6 goes into deep sleep and draws 3 mA or less, about 0.07 Ah a day. Its G-sensor keeps watch and locks the clip if a collision is detected.

Does the A6 have ADAS or driver monitoring?
