Interfaces

The WD02 is a Linux-based 4G dashcam for fleets that need up to four views plus alarm inputs and a serial port. A 1080p road lens and a 720p infrared cabin lens are built in, and two 720p AHD cameras can be connected for the rear or the sides, so one unit records up to four channels in H.264. With the S202, it is one of two dashcams in our range with an alarm input.

What the WD02 does

  • Tracks and streams from one SIM. GPS and BeiDou tracking, live video and event clips run through one device, managed in the Traqcare app and web platform.
  • Takes optional AI. Ordered with the AI algorithms, ADAS warns of forward collision, lane departure, short following distance and pedestrians. DMS detects yawning, closed eyes, phone use, smoking, looking away and an unfastened seatbelt. BSD watches the left or right blind zone through one of the external cameras.
  • Connects switches and sensors. Two IO alarm inputs take a panic button or a door switch. The RS232 port takes a serial device such as a card reader or a fuel sensor.
  • Keeps dispatch in contact. Two-way voice lets dispatch talk to the driver, and the SOS button raises an emergency alert.
  • Reports to other platforms. JT/T 808, in its 2011 and 2019 editions, JT/T 1076 and JT/T 1078 are supported.

Installation

  • Works on 12 V and 24 V vehicles. Hardwire it when you use the IO inputs.
  • Mount behind the rear-view mirror with the cabin lens facing the driver. Connect the external cameras, alarm inputs and RS232 device before refitting the trim.
  • Fit a 4G data SIM and a microSD card of Class 10 or faster. Card capacity depends on the hardware version; we confirm it with your quote.
  • The Cat 4 modem ships in regional band versions, listed in the specifications, so tell us the country of use.
  • Settings are changed in the app. Firmware is updated from the card or remotely.

For ADAS and DMS as standard and 1080p on both built-in lenses, see the D9. For hard-disk or dual-SD storage, see the MDVR range.

WD02 questions

Is AI included on every WD02?

No. ADAS, DMS and BSD are optional algorithms on the WD02. Tell us which you need when you request a quote; the D9 has ADAS and DMS as standard.

How many cameras does the WD02 record?

Up to four. A 1080p road lens and a 720p infrared cabin lens are built in, and two external 720p AHD cameras can be added for the rear or sides.

What can I connect to the WD02's IO and RS232 ports?

The two IO alarm inputs take switch signals such as a panic button or a door switch. The RS232 port takes one serial device such as a card reader or a fuel sensor. Send us the device's model and we check its protocol before you order.

Which platforms does the WD02 work with?

The Traqcare app and web platform, and third-party platforms that use JT/T 808 (2011 or 2019 edition) with JT/T 1078 for video.
