A18 4G Dashcam with GPS

The A18 is a 4G dashcam for cars, vans and taxis on 12 V. The front camera records 1080p at 25 fps through a 135° four-glass lens. A second USB camera records 480p at 15 fps for the rear; a rotating infrared cabin camera can be ordered in its place. A 2-inch screen (320 × 240) shows the picture and the menus, and video is stored in H.264.

What the A18 does

• Tracks and streams. Built-in GPS and BeiDou track the vehicle, and 4G lets managers view the camera and download clips in the Traqcare app or web platform.
• Carries voice. Dispatch can talk to the driver through the built-in speaker and noise-reducing microphone.
• Watches while parked. Parking monitoring captures video and still images from both cameras and sends an alert if a collision is detected. The camera draws on the vehicle battery to do this, so hardwire it with a low-voltage cutoff.
• Plays the route with the video. GPS route history plays back in step with the recording.
• Loops on the card. Recording loops on a microSD card of up to 128 GB, and a 3-axis G-sensor locks event clips.

Installation

• The input range is 9–16 V, so the A18 is for 12 V vehicles only. For 24 V trucks and buses, choose a 9–36 V model such as the D9.
• Mount behind the rear-view mirror and run the second camera's cable along the headlining. The unit measures 87 × 71 × 33 mm.
• Fit a 4G data SIM and a microSD card of up to 128 GB.
• The modem covers 4G bands B1 and B3 and 3G band B1 only. Check that your carrier uses them before ordering.
• Firmware is updated from the card or over the air.
