B5 Three-Camera Wi-Fi Dashcam

The B5 is a Wi-Fi dashcam for vehicles that return to a depot or yard. It records three views at once, each at 30 fps: the road at 2304 × 1296 through a 145° lens, and the cabin and the rear in 720p through 110° lenses. There is no SIM card and no data plan. Footage and settings are reached through the app on a phone at the vehicle, or on the 3.16-inch screen.

What the B5 does

• Records three views. The road, the cabin and the rear are recorded together at 30 fps.
• Handles mixed light. WDR balances headlights, low sun and shadow in one picture.
• Reaches a phone without data. Over Wi-Fi, the app shows the live view, downloads clips to the phone and changes the settings.
• Locks event clips. A G-sensor detects an impact and protects that clip from being overwritten.
• Helps with reversing. The rear camera's picture appears on the screen when reversing.

Installation

• Mount on the windscreen with the suction mount and run the rear camera cable to the back of the vehicle.
• The camera runs on 5 V DC from the supplied adapter.
• Time-lapse recording while parked is an option and needs a hardwire kit.
• Fit a microSD card of up to 128 GB (not included). Loop recording overwrites the oldest footage.
• Menus come in eleven languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and French.

The B5 has no 4G modem and no GPS, so it cannot stream live video, send alerts to the office or track the vehicle. For remote access and tracking, choose a 4G model such as the D9 or the D2.
