D3 4G Mini Dashcam

The D3 is a 4G dashcam that runs Android 10 on a quad-core Spreadtrum SL8541E processor with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. It has a 3-inch touch screen (640 × 360), on-screen GPS navigation, Bluetooth hands-free and an FM transmitter. The front camera sits on a mount that rotates through 270°, so it can face the road or the cabin.

What the D3 does

• Records front and rear. The front camera uses a GC2053 sensor with a 130° view. The rear camera records 1080p (1920 × 1080) with a 120° view. Video is stored in H.264 with a date and time stamp, in files of one, three or five minutes.
• Warns the driver. ADAS gives lane-departure, forward-collision and front-vehicle-start warnings. There is no driver monitoring.
• Tracks and streams. 4G and GPS give live tracking, with video and clips in the Traqcare app and web platform. The D3 can share its 4G connection as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Shows the rear view. The rear camera's picture appears on the screen when reversing.
• Handles calls. Bluetooth hands-free connects the driver's own phone. There is no two-way voice with dispatch.

Installation

• Aim the rotating lens after mounting, and check both views on the touch screen.
• Run the rear camera cable to the back of the vehicle.
• Fit a 4G data SIM and a microSD card of up to 128 GB.
• The modem covers 4G FDD bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 12. Check that your carrier uses them before ordering.
• Confirm GPS lock before the vehicle leaves the yard.
• Ask us for the supply voltage of the current hardware version before fitting the D3 to a 24 V vehicle.
