ADAS Camera for MDVR

Road-facing 1080p AI camera with lane, collision and pedestrian alerts

The ADAS Camera is a road-facing 1080p AI camera that connects to an MDVR. It gives lane-departure warnings above a speed you set, forward-collision alerts with adjustable sensitivity and pedestrian detection below 50 km/h. It runs on 12–24 V from -20 °C to 70 °C and records through the MDVR.

The ADAS Camera adds forward-collision, lane-departure and pedestrian warnings to an MDVR system. It faces the road from the top of the windscreen, and the MDVR stores its video and the event log.

What it detects

  • Lane departure. Warns when the vehicle drifts out of its lane above a speed threshold you set, so slow manoeuvres do not trigger it.
  • Forward collision. Warns when the gap to the vehicle ahead closes too quickly. The sensitivity is adjustable.
  • Pedestrians. Detects pedestrians ahead at speeds below 50 km/h.
  • Speed limit. An indicator reminds the driver of the limit you set.

Every alert is logged by the recorder with its video and time, and with the GPS position when the recorder has GPS.

Installation

  • The camera has no memory card. It records through an MDVR, which also stores the event log.
  • Mount it high on the windscreen, centred and level. The viewing angle adjusts from 120° to 170° to suit the vehicle.
  • An alarm output (200 mA) can drive an external buzzer or indicator.
  • The cable and connector differ by recorder, so state your MDVR model when you order.

Pair it with a DSM Camera for driver fatigue and a BSD Camera for blind spots. The WD10 and WD11 run one ADAS, one DMS and two BSD channels together.

ADAS-CAM questions

Does the ADAS Camera need an MDVR?

Yes. It has no storage of its own; the MDVR records its video and logs its alerts.

Will lane-departure alerts trigger in slow traffic?

No. Lane-departure warning is active only above a speed threshold you set, so slow manoeuvres do not trigger it.

At what speed does pedestrian detection work?

Below 50 km/h. Forward-collision and lane-departure warnings are separate functions with their own settings.
