Power & build

Input voltage12–24 V
Operating temperature-20 °C to 70 °C

The AHD005 is a driver status monitoring (DSM) camera. It faces the driver, analyses the face and head position, and sounds an alert when it detects fatigue or distraction. Infrared light keeps it working at night and through changing light in the cab.

What it detects

  • Fatigue. Drowsiness, yawning and closed eyes.
  • Distraction. The driver looking away from the road.
  • Hat or helmet. Whether the driver is wearing one, for sites where headgear is required and cabs where it is not allowed.

Alerts sound in the cab, and the recorder logs each one with its video.

Installation

  • Mount on the dashboard or the A-pillar, facing the driver, so the face is in view without blocking the road.
  • The 170° lens frames the driver from either position.
  • The cable and connector differ by recorder, so state your MDVR model when you order.

For a fatigue-only camera, see the DSM Camera. For a plain cabin view without AI, see the AHD003 dome camera.
